Kazuki Umezawa's project: "The Dreams Seen by Image Generation"

This solo exhibition by Kazuki Umezawa, who has been collecting and reconstructing vast amounts of images from the internet since around 2007, will be presented as a high-speed slideshow at the venue. The exhibition will feature works and image generation logs accumulated over approximately 20 years, presented alongside new two-dimensional works.
In an era where "image generation" has become commonplace thanks to the advent of AI, Umezawa has been continuously viewing, saving, and reconstructing images for about 20 years. This project explores the meaning of one person continuously generating images over time, through his vast collection of logs and works. Isn't the consciousness that generates images and dreams found within the stories, memories, and attachments that reside within them? This exhibition re-examines the creative process along with this question.
