Tsukigime is a gallery space that hosts exhibitions and events for artists and creators, renovated from an underground parking lot in Meguro Ward, Tokyo.
The event is organized by Neon Kikaku, a company that operated Nakameguro's music bar Nakame Neon, where artists and musicians gathered from 2013 to 2020. As a place for artists and creators who met at the bar to express themselves, the bar opened a monthly venue in Ikejiri-Ohashi in 2018 with the help of the owner's friends, a fashion designer and a graphic designer. In July 2021, the bar moved to its current base in the Gakugeidaigaku area of Meguro Ward, starting with the collaborative exhibition CHAOS LAY ER by three graphic artists, Kosuke Kawamura, YOSHIROTTEN, and GUCCIMAZE.
Not bound by existing frameworks, we work together with our fellow like-minded artists and creators active in Japan and abroad, as well as up-and-coming young artists, to disseminate free and fun expression.
Currently, tattoo artist TAPPEI's solo exhibition "Frem:space" is being held until October 27th!!
