StareReap is an art brand that creates new value with the aim of enriching society. Born from Ricoh Co., Ltd.'s accelerator program (TRIBUS), and using technology accumulated over many years of inkjet development, 2.5D modeling was performed through dialogue between artists and StareReap's printing director, and multiple layers of fine ink droplets were created. By using overlapping 3D printing, we are working with artists to expand new possibilities of expression. To date, he has co-created works with numerous artists including Yukimasa Ida, Kazuki Umezawa, and Ryan Gander.
This time, StareReap will be holding MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL 2023 with the concept of "encountering art through dialogue with artists," and MEET YOUR ART will recommend up-and-coming domestic artists who should be paying attention right now, centering on the artists who appeared on the program. Works by Kenta Kobayashi, Shinnosuke Tojo, Teppei Kaneuji, and Shota Yamauchi will be exhibited and sold at the art fair "PICK UP ARTIST", which will have 42 participants.
[About RICOH / StareReap]
StareReap is an art brand that creates new value with the aim of enriching society.
Born from Ricoh Co., Ltd.'s accelerator program (TRIBUS), it uses technology accumulated over many years of inkjet development to enable the expression of various irregularities and textures.
Through dialogue between the artist and StareReap's printing director, 2.5D (concave and convex) modeling is performed, and by layering multiple layers of fine ink droplets and printing in 3D, the print is elevated to the level of a work of art. The fusion of analog and digital enhances artists' imagination, expands their range of expression, and embodies their flexible ideas.
