Born in Kyoto in 1978, completed the sculpture major at Kyoto City University of Arts in 2003. Currently an associate professor in the Department of Sculpture at the same university. He collects everyday objects and creates works using collage-like techniques. His works span a wide range of forms of expression, including sculpture, installation, video, and performance, and he consistently explores creative systems that reveal the relationship between matter and image.
