Born in Kyoto in 1978, completed the sculpture major at Kyoto City University of Arts in 2003. Currently an associate professor in the Department of Sculpture at the same university. He collects everyday objects and creates works using collage-like techniques. His works span a wide range of forms of expression, including sculpture, installation, video, and performance, and he consistently explores creative systems that reveal the relationship between matter and image. Major solo exhibitions include "SF (Something Falling/Floating)" (Ichihara Lakeside Museum of Art, 2022), "Teppei Kaneuji's Mercator Membrane" (Marugame Genichiro Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art, 2016), "Square Liquid, Metallic Memory" ” (Kyoto Art Center, 2015), “Towering Something” (Uhlens Contemporary Art Center, 2013), “Melting City, Blank Forest” (Yokohama Art, 2009), “Eraser Forest” in collaboration with chelfitsch (Kanazawa 21 In addition to holding exhibitions both domestically and internationally, such as Century Museum of Art, 2020), he has also collaborated with various genres such as stage art.
